Bridget really *is* Beautiful.

Adorn Me's featured artist this week is the lovely and talented Bridget of Beautiful Bridget -- the fantastic Etsy store that sells luscious knitted and crocheted items. I first noticed Bridget because of the lush, soft quality of her items (especially her oversize cowls, which look like one could just dive into) and the colors she uses. Then, she joined the Etsy Treasury Team, of which Adorn Me is a member, and I got to see how kind she is, aside from being talented. Read a long and get to know Bridget a bit better. Please go visit her shop to see more of her lovely items.

Tell me, what made you decide to start your business?

My Mom taught me how to crochet when I was a child and so I have always had the desire to make things. Once I found Etsy I was thrilled that I could sell what I make and share it with the world :)

I'm interested in your vision -- why you do what you do, and what inspires you?

I'm inspired by everything I see....anyone who passes by me wearing a scarf or hat or cowl immediately catches my eye. I'm also inspired by the seasonal color changes...I'm lucky enough to get all four seasons and so I see the pretty pastels of Spring, they vibrant flowers in the Summer, the changing leaves in the Fall and the snow white of Winter. I get great inspiration from all of these.

What are your goals for the future of your business?

I would like to see my online presence grow and would also like to go into business with my daughter (missindie on Etsy) and open our own B&M shop one day selling our wares as well as taking in other artists' creations to sell.

What do you feel sets you apart from others in your field?

You know, each fiber artist is amazing in their own right....I just put my whole heart into everything I create and if I don't feel good about it then I don't feel that anyone else will either so I put that to the side and start working on a new creation. I want anyone who purchases from me to be 150% thrilled with what they receive, that is very important to me.
. . .
Thank you for this interview, Bridget. I can't imagine anyone not being 150% thrilled with their purchases, when it comes to Bridget's beautiful items. They are rightfully becoming very popular at Etsy.
