Vastly Reduced-Price shipping at Adorn Me, and Etsy's Eclectic Artisans Team giveaway

The Eclectic Artisans Team of Etsy are having a team giveaway on our blog. Adorn Me is giving away a pair of our Baby Blue Tulip Hoop earrings to the lucky winner (U.S. and Canada only -- sorry for the North America-centrism here).

If you'd like to enter, go to this section of our team blog. Read the rules and and leave a comment.

Good luck to all who enter! :c)

Adorn Me would also like to announce that we have reduced our shipping charges and now ALL ITEMS are only $2.50 and under to ship to the lower 48 United States! This makes Adorn Me's already affordably-priced jewelry even moreso.

Bridget really *is* Beautiful.

Adorn Me's featured artist this week is the lovely and talented Bridget of Beautiful Bridget -- the fantastic Etsy store that sells luscious knitted and crocheted items. I first noticed Bridget because of the lush, soft quality of her items (especially her oversize cowls, which look like one could just dive into) and the colors she uses. Then, she joined the Etsy Treasury Team, of which Adorn Me is a member, and I got to see how kind she is, aside from being talented. Read a long and get to know Bridget a bit better. Please go visit her shop to see more of her lovely items.

Tell me, what made you decide to start your business?

My Mom taught me how to crochet when I was a child and so I have always had the desire to make things. Once I found Etsy I was thrilled that I could sell what I make and share it with the world :)

I'm interested in your vision -- why you do what you do, and what inspires you?

I'm inspired by everything I see....anyone who passes by me wearing a scarf or hat or cowl immediately catches my eye. I'm also inspired by the seasonal color changes...I'm lucky enough to get all four seasons and so I see the pretty pastels of Spring, they vibrant flowers in the Summer, the changing leaves in the Fall and the snow white of Winter. I get great inspiration from all of these.

What are your goals for the future of your business?

I would like to see my online presence grow and would also like to go into business with my daughter (missindie on Etsy) and open our own B&M shop one day selling our wares as well as taking in other artists' creations to sell.

What do you feel sets you apart from others in your field?

You know, each fiber artist is amazing in their own right....I just put my whole heart into everything I create and if I don't feel good about it then I don't feel that anyone else will either so I put that to the side and start working on a new creation. I want anyone who purchases from me to be 150% thrilled with what they receive, that is very important to me.
. . .
Thank you for this interview, Bridget. I can't imagine anyone not being 150% thrilled with their purchases, when it comes to Bridget's beautiful items. They are rightfully becoming very popular at Etsy.

Just Because

Thought you might like to view a treasury for the Etsy Treasury team by the FractalGirl store. You can see it Here.

You'll find some absolutely gorgeous items in this treasury, including a Steampunk locket made by my sweetheart of a friend, Gwynne, at Days Long Gone.

I hope you enjoy looking!

Being Featured in the Etsy Gift Guides...

I suppose if one is not an Etsy seller -- or they are, but are such a fantabulously popular Etsy seller that being featured has become old hat -- it's hard to figure out what is so exciting about it. But it is for me. Today, Adorn Me's "Treasured Rose necklace" was featured in the for "Her" section of Etsy's Gift Guides. It is the same Treasured Rose necklace that was highlighted in this blog entry that was featured. Yay! :c) (so much for calm, cool and collected...) The exposure and tacit recognition and validation is lovely.
